Have “me” time

There is no better way to enjoy life despite the discomfort than to have a “me” time. Spend some time alone perhaps in your room or in a place that is relatively clean and don’t have much allergens or dust. A reading nook in your house is great but make sure that it is free from animal dander if you happen to own a pet. This “alone” time can help you gather yourself and enjoy something that you like even for just 10 minutes.

Eat great food

Try to put more fiber on your diet as it would help get rid of the toxins that could be causing the discomfort of the skin irritation. At the same time, drink more water to flush out more toxins that can make the irritation unbearable. Try to stay away from salty and sweet food and eat natural whole foods for a change.

Watch some comedy

Comedy makes us laugh and laughter can help people get over stress and anxiety. Laughter releases feel-good chemicals that can help melt the stress that is creating havoc in the body. Studies have shown that a hearty laugh lowers the blood pressure and even help people become calmer due to endorphins released to get some temporary relief from pain and discomfort.

Get some exercise

Having a skin rash does not excuse you not to get some exercise. In fact exercise can help in the discomfort and subsequent stress from skin irritation. Exercise makes the body release feel-good chemicals like endorphins that can help alleviate the discomfort and pain of having a rash. A good 30-minute workout should do the trick. It is important that any exercise regimen should be under the supervision of a doctor.

Skin irritation happens but you don’t need to fret about it. Make sure that you are able to control the discomfort, seek the root cause with your doctor’s help and enjoy yourself and don’t let the discomfort get the best of you. Skin irritation can be a real source of anxiety but you don’t have to put up to it. Stress happens to the best of us but it should never be able to bring us down.
