Secondly please have a look at his resume and publications. You can double check the authenticity of all the publications on Pubmed.

How much is your consulting fees?

We have a varying fee structure depending on how quickly you need an answer.

Our fee also varies depending on where you are, as we accept both USD and GBP payments. Please post your question in the question box to the right and you can see the fee structure in detail.

How do I pay for the consultation?

We accept online payments via all major International debit and credit cards. If for any reason you are not able to pay via debit/ credit card, please contact us for alternative payment options (telephone payment/ direct bank transfer/google checkout/ cheque/ western union etc.).

Your Consultation fees are very cheap compared to an in-person consultation. Are there any other hidden fees?

No. There are absolutely no other hidden fees apart from the fee shown at the time of paying for your consultation, if you choose to use our services. Teleconsultation via skype is included in our fees, for all users. Our charges also include the charges for a telephone consultation.

How long can I talk to the doctor for? Do you offer a follow-up consultation?

When you first seek a consultation, you can speak/ reply to the doctor any number of times, if you need further advice/ until you are satisfied. The consultation is deemed ‘closed’ 7 days from your last correspondence. The doctor will give you an approximate time frame for seeking a follow-up. However please note that all subsequent follow-up consultations will need to be paid for, as usual.

I have three different skin problems. Do I have to pay for three consultations?

If these are related conditions, eg. you have a rash on the foot and a different rash on the face, but both are related fungal infections, you would not need to pay twice. However you will be expected to pay twice if you are seeking advice for two different problems eg. a mole on your abdomen, and an unrelated rash on the face.

Do I need to speak to the Dermatologist or is the consultation entirely via email?

Our unique selling point is that you will also get to speak to a dermatologist during your consultation.

However if you wish to correspond only online, that should not be a problem. Please note that in some cases we might insist on a telephone consultation, especially if your condition is too complicated to deal with via email alone.

I have a suspected skin cancer/changing mole. Would you be able to help?

Most skin cancers can be diagnosed with good quality photographs (most modern mobile phones are able to take good quality photos). So yes, whether you are worried about a new growth or a cancerous mole, certainly we would be able to help.

How do I obtain medicines after the online consultation?

Disclaimer: Please note that this is purely an advisory service. The discussion/ consultation with our dermatologist, is not a substitute for a face-to-face consultation. Therefore you are advised to speak to your doctor before you start any medications.

It all depends on whether the medicine you require is a prescription only medicine or is available over the counter. Over the counter medicines obviously can be bought online or in your local pharmacy, depending on your choice.

If you need a prescription only medicine, you can either see your family doctor/ GP for a prescription, or alternatively, you can choose to buy the medicines from an online pharmacy. However, we cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of any of these online companies. There are a number of reasons for this and you might want to read this article

Can I request a formal letter to my Family Doctor/ GP with the diagnosis and treatment recommendations?

Indeed you can. UK users requesting a private prescription will be sent a letter to take to their GP at no additional cost.  However, all other users will need to pay a nominal administration fee of 14 GBP (UK) or 20 USD (Rest of the World), to request a formal skin consultation report to take to their Family Doctor.

How will I know when the doctor has replied to my question/problem?

Email notifications will be sent out every time the doctor replies. The email will contain the text of the doctor’s reply, but ‘reply by email option’ is not available at the moment. You can reply back to the doctor via your online question page assigned on registration.

Is it essential to upload photos?

It is advisable, though not essential to upload a photograph of your skin. Dermatology is a unique branch of medicine where a diagnosis can be made on the basis of a good high quality photograph. If you do not have photos to hand just now, you can pay for your consultation and upload them at a later stage, when requested.

If you are not able to upload a photograph you can still obtain an opinion/advice/ consultation. Though the doctor might not be able to give you a definitive answer, he will still be able to give you his expert opinion.

Is there a specific requirement for photo quality?

Photos should when possible be taken with a high resolution camera (3MP and above), in daylight or similar lighting. Whenever possible please send close up as well as long shots. The more photos you upload, the easier it is to make a diagnosis.

How does the 100% satisfaction guarantee work? If you are unable to make a diagnosis or I am not happy with the results of your treatment, do I get my fee back?

Disclaimer: Please note that this is purely an advisory service. The information provided via this website is for general information purposes only. This does not substitute an in-person consultation with your doctor and a doctor-patient relationship is not established. Therefore you are advised to speak to your doctor before you start any medications.

We are proud of our 100% positive feedback rate. In most cases when accompanied by photos and after speaking to you in-person on the phone, a diagnosis can be made. That is why it is very important that you upload good quality photos. However, there are instances where further investigations (like blood tests or a skin biopsy) might be necessary before we can make a diagnosis. In such cases you shall be provided with a differential diagnosis and advised accordingly.

The fee you pay will be for the doctor’s time and expertise. It’s the same thing when you see the doctor (or for that matter any doctor), in person.  Not all skin conditions respond to all treatments. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the treatment suggested, you are requested to feedback to the doctor and you shall be advised accordingly. However in order to be competitive, if you are not satisfied with your consultation you are entitled to a full refund, if requested within 7 days of your consultation with the doctor.
