Answer:
I am not sure if you have a specific skin rash/ problem, in which case please register on my website and upload your pictures. The following are however general tips to maintain your skin healthy and minimise aging effects:
1. Sun protection: all the year but particularly in summer. Avoid outdoor activities during the middle of the day. Sunscreens should be applied daily to the face, more often when outdoors (most sunscreens need to be re-applied 2hrly). Cover up when outside – sunscreens may protect against UVB but they are not effective against longer wavelengths.
2. Do not smoke: Smoking increases facial lines and wrinkles, delays skin healing and is bad for you.
3. Moisturisers (If your face is dry): any moisturiser will do. Does NOT need to be an expensive one. They prevent facial dryness and keep the skin supple.
4. Exercise – active people appear younger. Exercise is good for the skin as well as for your general health.
5. Eat a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables to provide natural antioxidants.
6. Drink a lot of water and keep yourself hydrated. Dehydrated skin looses turgor.
