I used this online service after repeated visits to my local GP’s. I have been prescribed steroid creams, ointments, emollients, antibiotics and given a different diagnoses and my GP would not refer me to a dermatologist. One GP even told me to keep repeating using Hxxxxxxxx on my eyelids and could put it on repeat prescription for me – even though it thins the skin after prolonged use. I used this service, as my problem was with my eyelids swelling up and becoming red and inflamed as well as other dry skin on my face. It was getting me very down as it was on my face – and everybody could see the problems I was having. Dr. Attili, listened to what I said and understands that a skin condition is not just about how it looks but how it makes a person feel and thats why finding the cause is just as important as the treatment. He replied via email which was my preferred method of contact. He told me it looked like it was contact dermatitis and I should be referred to a specialist as we needed to find the cause and not just treat the symptoms (something one GP didn’t seem too keen on doing). Dr Attili provided me with a letter for my GP and a private prescription (which was detailed) for a medicine called Pxxxxxxx and this has improved my skin and my life so much. He always responds very quickly and the service was great. I used this service after looking at a lot of online services because Dr Attili was very open about who he was with his registration number/surgery address. I was concerned about making sure it was a real doctor before using an online service – he made sure I didn’t have to worry as I knew he was genuine by his details. The best asset of the online service is being able to follow up on the email consultation with a phone call. Sometimes there are additional questions and details that are needed which really help to speak to someone in person. This is the main reason I choose this service instead of other on-line services.
