I have spots on the chin, diagnosed as 'Perioral Dermatitis'. Is this the same as Rosacea?
Some people suffer with spots on the chin and around the mouth, when it is called 'perioral dermatitis'. This is supposed to be a variant of Rosacea, but is primarily caused as a reaction to various cosmetic products on the skin. Do remember that red blotches in the face can also be caused by contact dermatitis, lupus and a number of other diseases. Facial rashes are of various types and not all diseases are the same.
